“I love DECA. Its as simple as that. The organization is my past, for I’ve been an active member since my freshman year of high school, my present, for I have climbed the ladder of DECA leadership to the very top, serving now as the 2010-2011 Georgia DECA State Vice President of Communications and Public Relations, and my future, for I will use the tools gained from my involvement in DECA within future careers. With the multitude of competitions, conferences, and other events, DECA has something to offer for every student. Not only are the events fun and allow members to meet new people from across teh globe (literally!), but they also develop leadership, public speaking, and social skills that are beneficial within any career.
